                            Mission Statement

New Life Center for Hope and Healing is committed to providing affordable and accessible support, empowerment, and advocacy to survivors of abuse and trauma through professionally facilitated individual therapy. To promote a trauma-sensitive community and build resilience throughout Central Ohio, aimed at reducing the effect of trauma on the individual, family, and community and foster healing. 

                             Our Commitment 

The vision of New Life Center for Hope and Healing is for all counties of Central Ohio, to be a trauma informed community where the needs of all are met. To offer hope and healing through therapy, intervention, advocacy and education.

                                 Our Vision

· To provide flexible therapeutic counseling to victims of all forms of abuse and trauma.

· To improve public knowledge in our community regarding all aspects of abuse and trauma by creating a resource library and information for survivors of trauma and abuse.

· To provide counseling training in areas of abuse and trauma recovery by organizing workshops for professionals in the community and creating partnerships with related organizations.

· To conduct research and disseminate the information for the benefit of the public regarding issues related to trauma and abuse.

· Welcome after-session feedback from trauma survivors.

                                  Our Goals

New Life Center’s goal is to spread the word about adverse childhood experiences and resiliency through education: Educate citizens and professionals on research that shows direct causes and outcomes of adverse childhood and adult experiences (trauma). 

· Connect residents and service providers to available resources.

· Change attitudes toward health, renewal, resolution, resilience, and compassion.

· Build foundational strength, wellness, and resiliency in organizational structure, policies, services and workforce.

· Heal people, systems, and community through trauma informed prevention practices and resolution methods.

                               Basis of Unity

The following beliefs and values shall inform and guide all aspects of members of New Life Center for Hope and Healing’s functioning. All members, paid or volunteer, must agree with the following statements:

• We recognize that: Many forms of abuse exist, including, but not limited to, all child abuse, sexual assault, sexual harassment, forced participation in and/or exposure to pornography/ prostitution, mind control, ritual abuse, sadistic abuse, and mutilation. We are opposed to all of it.
• We believe that: All people have the right to live free from the threat or the experience of any form of violence and/or abuse and/or exploitation.
• We believe that: The provision of services to survivors of all forms of abuse and violence should be informed and guided by the experiences, insights, and needs of survivors. We use the individual’s strength to empower them to find their voices.
• We know that: Individual trauma results from an event, series or events, or a set of circumstances that is experienced by an individual as physically or emotionally harmful or life threatening; and has lasting adverse effects on the individual’s functioning and mental, physical, social, emotional, or spiritual well-being.
